Expressions of Interest (EOI)

A sealed-offer sales campaign — buyers submit written bids by a deadline.

What is EOI?

An Expressions of Interest (EOI) campaign is a sales method where buyers submit written offers (usually sealed) by a set deadline. The seller then chooses which offer to accept — often after negotiation with top contenders.

Why it matters for you

EOI is common for premium properties, commercial sales and off-market listings. Unlike auctions, offers can be conditional (on finance, building inspection, etc.). Unlike private treaty, there's a defined deadline. Make sure finance is pre-approved and the contract reviewed before submitting.
