Home loans / Other professions

Whatever your work looks like, start with your home plans.

Employed, contracting or running a business? Tell us how you earn and whether you are buying or refinancing. Wity helps you work through the evidence and loan options relevant to you.

More than a job title

The way you earn changes the questions to ask.

You do not need to fit a professional category before asking about a home loan. Start with your actual circumstances.

I have a regular salary.

Make the employment picture clear

Share your employer, role, employment arrangement and recent changes. Include bonuses, allowances or a second job so the evidence can be checked for each income source.

My income changes across the year.

Explain the pattern

Contract, casual, shift and commission income can raise different assessment questions. Describe how often you work and get paid; your adviser checks the current lender requirements rather than assuming every payment counts in full.

I work for myself.

Start with the business structure

Explain how long you have been trading, who owns the business and how you receive income. Ask which financial records are needed for the lenders being considered.

My work or household is about to change.

Bring the next chapter into the plan

A new role, leave, reduced hours or a business change can affect your budget and evidence. Tell Wity what is confirmed and what is still a possibility before relying on a borrowing estimate.

A useful starting point

Turn your income story into a borrowing conversation.

The goal is to understand the loan you could manage and the evidence needed to assess it.

Explore mortgage terms
Describe your income accurately
Separate base pay, variable pay and business income. Explain the work behind each amount and flag recent changes, gaps or future changes that are already known.
Include costs and commitments
Bring the deposit or current home loan details alongside other debts, credit limits and household costs. Income is one part of the assessment; the rest of your finances matters too.
Compare what you will use
Look at rate, fees, term and features together. Ask how any occupation-related option compares with other loans, and what conditions or costs come with it.

Occupation alone does not establish borrowing capacity, a reduced deposit, an LMI waiver or approval. Any relevant option needs a current-policy and individual assessment.

The next steps

A clear path, whatever your starting point.

Choose your goal and use the first conversation to identify what needs checking.

  1. Match

Tell us about buying or refinancing, your income and your finances. Your matched options are indicative, based on what you provide, rather than a recommendation or approval.

  2. Connect

Discuss your circumstances and work arrangements with the team. This discovery conversation sets the next steps without a loan recommendation or credit advice.

  3. Plan

Your adviser prepares your WityLoanPlan and explains the recommendation at a strategy meeting. The evidence and current lender policy shape the final figures and available options.

  4. Settle or Switch

If you accept your loan proposal, Wity prepares the application for lodgement. The lender decides whether to approve it; Wity helps coordinate settlement if you proceed.

Accepting a proposal authorises preparation. It does not submit an application or guarantee approval.
