Registrar (Medical)
A doctor in advanced specialty training. Strong profile, often undersold.
What is Registrar (Medical)?
A registrar is a doctor undertaking advanced specialty training, typically PGY3 onwards. Depending on specialty (surgery, emergency, physician training, GP), registrars earn $120K–$180K before overtime, on-call and locum work.
Why it matters for you
Standard lending assessment often undersells what a registrar can borrow. Under our medico policy: HECS excluded, future income accepted (assessed at projected consultant earnings), locum income included earlier, and LMI waived to 90% LVR. Borrowing capacity lifts substantially — often by $250K+.
