Low-Doc Loan

For self-employed borrowers without standard tax returns. Uses alternative evidence.

What is Low-Doc Loan?

A low-doc loan is designed for self-employed borrowers who can't provide the standard 2 years of tax returns. Uses alternative income evidence: BAS statements, accountant-prepared income declarations, or business bank statements.

Why it matters for you

Rates are 0.20–0.80% higher than full-doc loans. LMI requirements are stricter, often triggered at 60–70% LVR. Useful for newly-established businesses, practice owners, and professionals with complex income structures. Prime lenders and specialist lenders offer different products.
